Why Vacations Are Important For Your Finances!

Entrepreneurs work hard at their business. Often time, harder than they ever worked when they had a job; especially in the beginning when creating the foundation for their business. During this time, our goal is to work hard now so that we can reap the rewards and play hard later. Working 70 to 80 hour weeks, no days off, missing important events, opting out of fun invites, and more… Entrepreneurs can end up sacrificing so much and that’s why it is even more imperative that we create time to go on a vacation. It doesn’t have to be an all-inclusive week long resort vacation. Even if it’s only for a day, we need to step away from the grind. It can be a one-day hotel staycation in your own city.

Why should a busy Entrepreneur, whose time is literally money, take time for a vacation? Because they are needed and, surprisingly, not taking one can actually impact your money. Let’s talk about two reasons taking a vacation is important for your finances as an Entrepreneur.

Taking a vacation reduces stress. An Entrepreneur’s long hours can be very stressful and taxing on the mind and body. Entrepreneurs do not simply clock-in and make the same amount of money whether they are productive or not. Instead, most have to actively perform actions to create cash flow. Getting that ‘woo sah’ moment that comes from taking time away and getting a break from the day-to-day stress is important to your health. You need good health and vitality to continue to create wealth in your business.

Taking a vacation recharges your focus. When you are tired and worn out, as Entrepreneurs often get, it takes you longer to get things done, it takes you longer to figure out solutions to problems, and you are blocked from being creative and coming up with new ways to make money. Ever had a moment where you just couldn’t figure it out? What about a moment where you knew you needed to do something different but nothing new was coming to you? Finally, how about a moment when you have products or services delayed because productivity has slowed down? A vacation can help with all of that because it gives you the breathing time and a break to recharge, then you can get back to the work and really focus. After that vacation, things seem brighter than before. You are able to crush goals, take hold of finances, and level up.

Now that I’ve shown you how not taking a vacation can get in the way of your money, let’s evaluate where you are with needing a vacation.
