Procrastination: you may hear the word a lot, but do you realize how powerful it is in derailing dreams? When it comes to your business, procrastinating can lead to rushing through your work, not being prepared for your clients, and not getting the results that clients paid for or expected. We aren’t perfect, but as Entrepreneurs we want to do our best to deliver great products and service. That is how we get more people that want to buy from us. So, don’t allow procrastination to cost you money. Here a few ways to stop procrastinating to make more money in your business.

 

  1. Write Down What Tasks Need to be Completed. Write them down and give them soft deadlines. Having a soft deadline allows you to have more time before the hard deadline in case something happens to prevent the completion of the task on time. Should you complete the task by the soft deadline, then you can possible deliver products and services earlier than the client expects as a pleasant surprise. When you get the urge to procrastinate, revert back to the list of tasks and conquer them. Not having your tasks written down, costs time and momentum when you are actually in the mood to be productive, allowing you to procrastinate.

 

  1. Become Consistent. After you write your tasks down, become consistent with working on them. Make sure you work on them diligently and not put them to the side. The worst thing you can do is have an important task due, wait until the last minute, and then something unexpected prevents you from getting it done. The best way to prevent that is to create a schedule for your soft deadlines and your hard deadlines. Having a routine is a great way to be consistent.

 

  1. Stay Focus. Now that you are writing your tasks down and have a plan for being consistent, you have to stay focused. You want the time you spend working to produce results. The object of it all is to stay focused on the right things. When things happen that could get you sidetracked, just stop and breathe. Then refocus on your list and your schedule. Staying focused on the tasks at hand will definitely allow you met your goals of success and not procrastinate.

 

 

When you stop procrastinating and start diligently staying consistent, you will see the difference in the profits in your business. Wasting time, saying I will do it tomorrow, and always saying, “maybe later”, instead of doing it NOW; will keep your business at a standstill and keep you broke. Time flies when you aren’t getting shit done.
