When St. Patty’s day comes around we think of green, beer, money, leprechauns, and especially luck. On the holiday, people spend billions of dollars… Why not be on the receiving end of some it? Business “luck” is possible, but it rarely just happens. Don’t just wish you had the luck of the Irish. You are a business owner; create your own luck. Here a 3 tips that can help you be lucky, lucky in your business:
- Be Intentional. Around the holidays, people are actually looking to spend and buy more money than on ordinary calendar days. Most are happier during these times. Holidays give them time to fellowship with family, friends and even coworkers and they are ready to spend those green dollars to do so. As holidays approach, be intentional in your marketing using the holiday as a time to target your ideal clients.
- Run Specials. Who doesn’t love a special? Holidays are the perfect time to have them. In keeping up with the theme of the holidays, create a special that makes your customers and clients feel lucky. You can do so around multiple products or simply focus on one. Whichever one you choose, pick the one that will not only bring more money, more customers, but also more referrals. Run specials by introducing new products and services. Show your buying public that luck does exist for them too.
- Spring Cleaning. Along with St. Patrick’s Day comes spring. This is the perfect time to get rid of extra inventory or any inventory that you feel like is not selling. Even though most Entrepreneurs hate to lose money or even break even, there is nothing wrong with getting rid of inventory, ideas, etc… that are just sitting around not making money for your business. Show your clients how lucky they are by placing old items on sale. And you’ll feel lucky when you sell out.
